Blog things and ....

It's always a treat to stop by Gem's Gem-osophy blog, for there is always something there that I get a giggle out of, and sometimes to Gem's distress, I'll find something witty in her serious posts and can't resist commenting on it. This past while Gem has been playing with Blog Things Quizzes so I thought I would play with them to see what would happen.

First I thought that I'd test Blog things for accuracy, so how else but to see if it could guess what I majored in in University.

Well...

Your Scholastic Strength Is Developing Ideas

You can take a spark of inspiration and turn it into a full fledged concept.
You are talented at brainstorming, visualizing, organizing, and independent thinking.

You should major in:

Natural sciences
Computer science
Creative writing
Math
Architecture
Journalism

The darn thing was pretty accurate. I double majored in Mathematics and Computing Science, but I double minored in Philosophy, and Psychology
In High School though (actually, I returned to upgrade in college as a mature student when I turned 30) I took all the sciences, and played with some writing courses.

Then I thought, because I play with this blog, what kind of (nube)writer am I. And the darn thing must have read the first few posts on this blog while I was answering the questions.

You Should Be a Science Fiction Writer

Your ideas are very strange, and people often wonder what planet you're from.
And while you may have some problems being "normal," you'll have no problems writing sci-fi.
Whether it's epic films, important novels, or vivid comics...
Your own little universe could leave an important mark on the world!

So, if I'm supposed to write science fiction after all, (and I do love all things Sci-Fi) where would I be from? And Blog Things said people would wonder what planet I'd be from.
So...

You Are From Pluto

You are a dark, mysterious soul, full of magic and the secrets of the universe.
You can get the scoop on anything, but you keep your own secrets locked in your heart.
You love change and you use it to your advantage, whether by choice or chance.
You don't like to compromise, to the point of being self-destructive with your stubborness.
Live life with love, and your deep powers will open the world to you.

How did blog things know that I always route for the underdog no matter what it is. I've always had an attachment for Pluto (maybe it's a Disney thing too), but especially now that it's been down-graded from being a planet. Talk about underdogs!

Then I thought to myself that at the rate the space program is taking before we can get a ticket to ride anywhere will not be in our life time. Then I saw this little Blog Thingy. So I thought I'd try it as myself.

If You Were Born in 2893...

Your Name Would Be: Vovv Emi

And You Would Be: A Space Explorer

Then I started thinking that if I'm supposed to be a Science Fiction Writer, what about my main character for my Inn Space episodes, Dursten Sha'wtz
If You Were Born in 2893...

Your Name Would Be: Hana Vovv

And You Would Be: A Demi-God

And go figure, of course Dursten would out do me, but at least I'll get to travel.

So then I thought, I like to draw so what piece of artwork would I be?

You Are Best Described By...

From the Lake, No. 1
by Georgia O'Keeffe

And again, Blog Things must have ESP or some really advanced algorythm going on, for how would it know that my favorite colours are aquas, and some blue tones.

Then I thought, because Valentines Day is just around the corner, I'd entice Lola with it's best pickup line for a date to start our Valentines evening. Hey, it's been pretty accurate so far, and I thought it would spice things up a little when I surprise Lola with a 'for sure' thing for our evening's frolics on Valentines.
Your Pickup Line Is

If loving me is wrong you don't wanna be right!

Well, I guess it can't be right all the time.
Nice try though Blog Things
I'll try flowers instead and keep that line to myself.
(I almost can't resist doing a Comeback Line for this one too)

Cute Frank. This was like Blogthings meets Bloghopping. And it is kind of amazing how accurate Blogthings can be in so few questions. You're a Pluto? But I thought Pluto was no longer a planet.

Bud
Glad you enjoyed the post, I had fun with these little blog thingys

Gem
If they had a Bloghopping Blogthing, I'm sure that Gem-osphy would come up 8 out of 10 times! Even ahead of Bestest Blog (Don't tell Bobby I said that) And, just my luck, I get to be a planet that's not a planet anymore. Dwarf Planet, huh, I even get downsized on a (solar)system wide level. You think they could have at graded it as a Celestial body, I could have enjoyed that labeling. Then I could become Blogniscient and Blognipitent.
